Why We Give Our First 10% (Tithe)

Scripture tells us we are to give the first tenth of our income back to God.  In doing so we are being good stewards by simply giving back to God what He has given to us.  Our giving shows that we trust God to provide for our needs.  2 Corinthians 9:7 says each of us must decide in his own heart to give, "...not reluctantly or out of necessity for God loves a cheerful giver."

Where Does My Tithe Go?

When you give to Grace, you are helping in the mission we have to reach our families, our community and our world for God.  This is done by teaching and discipling everyone who attends worship services and Bible study classes, by offering community events like concerts, Quilt Camp, Vacation Bible School and our Family Fun Fair & Fireworks.  We reach moms through Titus 2 and MOPS and provide families with free childcare once a month on our Skippin Out nights.

Because of faithful givers we can help people in our community with immediate household needs, send teens and adults on short-term mission trips to other countries and support many full-time missionaries serving God around the world.

What is Faith Promise?

Of course, all giving is to be done by faith to be pleasing to God.  That includes the tithe which is a first step in our stewardship.  Beyond the tithe, we simply ask you to pray and seek God’s direction in what He would have you to give over and above.  As you sense God’s leading, trust Him to provide and as He does, give it as a matter of faith.

Grace has used Faith Promise giving in the past to pay off our mortgage of 1.2 million dollars in just over 10 years!  Now monies given to Faith Promise will be used to continue to grow the ministry first by creating an open lobby area, then upgrading and expanding our parking facilities.
